I can honestly say our wedding day was everything I imagined and more, thanks to the incredible team of vendors, friends, and family who helped bring it to life.

Photography – Michaela Paige Photography

My wedding photos were captured by my dear friend, Michaela Paige Photography, and I truly could not have asked for a better person to spend the entire day with me. Michaela is a Minnesota-based wedding and lifestyle photographer whose heart and soul lie in people and capturing what makes them who they are. She believes that all couples deserve a photographer that cares about their story and how it is documented. Michaela is all about building relationships with her couples and strives to make everything she does and every single photo purposeful. Not only is she beyond talented behind the camera, but having someone who knows me and cares deeply made all the difference. Every photo is filled with emotion, and I’ll treasure them forever.

Videography – Caroline Hunt Films

If you’ve ever considered having a videographer… do it. Caroline Hunt Films gave me one of the greatest gifts—our wedding day in motion. Caroline creates films that bring you back to those moments again and again: the look in your partner's eyes when they first see you, the laughter you shared on the dance floor, and the quiet, intimate moments that only the two of you shared. She is a Minnesota wedding videographer who makes the best day of your life last forever. Caroline was timely, fun to work with, and an awesome communicator. She captured every moment that meant the world to me so beautifully. I still cry every time I watch our film. Caroline, thank you for telling our story in a way that feels so us.

Florals – The Flower Effect

The moment I saw our florals, I was speechless. The Flower Effect blew my expectations completely out of the water. From the bouquets to the table arrangements and every detail in between, she made my floral dreams come true. Having a florist who truly listens to your vision and executes it perfectly is priceless. I felt like I walked into a dream.

Venue – Reeds & Rushes, Howard Lake, MN

We chose Reeds & Rushes in Howard Lake, Minnesota, and it was absolutely perfect. Reeds & Rushes is a re-imagined, five and a half acre lakeside property in the charming town of Howard Lake. The owners were incredibly communicative from the start and made the planning process so smooth. As someone who knows the wedding world well, I had a clear vision for our day, and they let me bring it to life. Their bar staff was also amazing—kind, flexible, and so easy to work with!

Catering – Elbows Allowed

Food was a huge priority for us. We knew we wanted something fun, delicious, and allergy-friendly—and Elbows Allowed delivered big time. Elbows Allowed is a distinct catering service that serves all of central Minnesota, catering weddings, parties, and special occasions. They offer world-class pasties and a variety of other menu options. We served tacos, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Everyone raved about the meal, and it made my heart happy to see people truly enjoying it (and going back for seconds!).

Coffee Cart – Crafted Coffee Co.

As someone who doesn’t drink, I wanted to make sure our non-drinking guests had options beyond soda and juice. Enter: Crafted Coffee Co.. Crafted Coffee Co. is a boutique mobile coffee and cold brew bar serving the MN/WI St. Croix Valley. They are the premier, original coffee cart of the Saint Croix valley, serving west central MN & east central WI. Their specialty coffee served from their handcrafted cart inspires and empowers so you and your event can be stunning. Their coffee cart was a huge hit! In the days following our wedding, we had guests reaching out to tell us how much they appreciated having more thoughtful, fun drink options. It was such a special touch—and it made our coffee-loving hearts so happy.

Hair and Makeup

A huge thank-you to my amazing friends Molly and Laura for doing our hair. You both made us feel so beautiful and confident. And to Emma Sievek Hairbyemmasievek—thank you for your makeup magic. Your talent brought out everyone’s natural beauty and kept us glowing all day long. I felt like the best version of myself.

Guestbook – After the Tone

One of our favorite details from the day was having After the Tone as our guestbook! Instead of the traditional pen-and-paper setup, guests left us sweet (and hilarious) voicemails throughout the night. It felt so us—sentimental, meaningful, and full of laughter. Listening back to the messages after the wedding was truly one of the highlights of the entire experience. We laughed, we cried, and we even got a custom vinyl made from the recordings that we’ll treasure forever. It’s such a creative, nostalgic way to remember the voices of our favorite people on one of the best days of our lives. If you’re looking for something memorable and totally unique, we can’t recommend After the Tone enough.

Making It Us – Adding Fun & Festive Touches

One of our biggest goals for the day was to make our wedding fun—something that felt like a celebration of who we are. Since we got married in December, we leaned into the cozy holiday vibe by bringing in a Christmas tree! But we didn’t want it to be just decor—we turned it into a guestbook experience. Everyone could take a Polaroid photo and either place it in an ornament to take home as a keepsake or leave it on the tree for us to remember them by. It was such a hit! The tree ended up filled with smiling faces and sweet memories, and now we have the ornaments to treasure year after year. We also knew we wanted our dogs to be part of the day somehow, even if they couldn’t physically attend—so we added them as our cake toppers! It was the perfect little nod to our fur babies, and guests loved the playful, personal touch. All these details made the day feel extra special and completely us.

To everyone who was a part of our day—thank you. You helped create a wedding that truly felt like us: warm, joyful, intentional, and filled with love. I will never stop smiling when I think back on it... and yes, there were many, many tears shed (by me). Happy tears, grateful tears, overwhelmed-by-love tears. Every single detail, moment, and memory means the world to us. We are endlessly thankful.
